''Lisa''

I blossomed within your womb.
Remembering the touch and scent of perfume.
My shelter,warmth through loving eyes.
Sound of laughter, the tender wiping away my cries.
Telling the tales so that I could learn.
Was never a time your back had turned.
A sweet whisper of days gone by.
Oh' beloved mother, left me to stare at an ever passing sky.

It's odd to call a mother by her first name, but in this instance, it got my attention and stuck! I can picture u staring upwards and missing her right now...Many of us miss our mothers and it is great to be able to write about them in our poetry.... :) Gwendolen
