Liquid Love

He come to you and your breath leaves you
in a way that I can never imagine

He drowns you in his love, making
you helpless for more, always more

He touches places in you,
never touched by my voice, my hands,
my tongue, my manhood,
my mind, my heart

He takes you when we're in the same room,
mocking me with that cold numbness in your eyes
as his love controls your words, your body,
your thoughts, your feelings,
your heart

He makes me lie for you, hiding
the shame of my demise as a lover,
as a friend, as a man, from all who might see

He makes you hate me,
my love for you a guilty memory
to be washed away by his touch

He empties me out of your life
like the dregs I've become,
without a trace,
I cast no reflection,
I make no shadow

I am liquid
