Liquid Courage

You're in the moment,
you just can't stop.
You wanna own it,
untill you drop.
You plan and try,
for just one drink,
Unsatisfied,
till you can't think.
What you grasp at
Is thinner than air,
When tragedies,
don't warrant care.
Why is it that i,
Someone with,
The world in my eye,
Like to live,
Flat on my back,
Poisoned myself,
Until my eyes,
Have witnessed Hell?
Could it be that
Drink makes me brave
Enough to look,
For my own grave?
Perhaps I like,
Living amiss,
And staring in
To that abyss.
