Lioness Enjoys the Shadows
The lioness watches the two-footer from her hiding place in the shadow
There is something majestic about her; how would she taste?
Just rip her apart! Her reptilian brain urges her.
A recent mother herself, lioness keeps watch as she gets closer.
She could have her by the neck in an instant.
But would this be feel like a fair hunt?
She yawns and rolls over on her back,
Not wanting to tear this two-footer up.
Don’t be a wimp! Her inner voice screams.
Take her now! She has no idea.
It is time!
The lioness stretches out, enjoying the shadows.
Determined to have things her way tonight.
She will let this two-footer live.
She can get the next one; she is in no hurry.
Let daddy watch the cubs a bit longer.
