Notes About The Poem

Lingering perfume

Preciously gathering each rose petal
Younger sister’s funeral come to an end
The depth of pain unbearable

oh, teary-eyed....I don't think I've ever gotten over my younger brother's death...

So very sorry to hear that, Sara ~ I have five sibblings and often thought how incredibly lucky we've been these past 60+ years. My poem is actually about my grand-mother having lost her baby sister to breast cancer. The rose petals were found after my grand-mother passed away and they smelled heavenly.
