Limits

Tormented by war

Kicks that knock you down,

Life that takes it twists and turns

The jagged knife inside you burns.

You do not bleed

Your blood runs dry

To what expectation

To what limit can you go

Before your blood will boil and flow

Before torment begins to show.

Hello, Phyllis.... I chose this poem, because of the title. I'm not disappointed. What I like here, is the fact this is the opposite of most limit poems I've read. Everyone has a limit. Time easily shows more than age.. hugs ..Linda

War can take a person and break them to their limit. When you see how some lose their whole families it breaks your heart. What limit will they go before they reach breaking point. love phyl
