Limitations

We all have limitations Which we fight or we accept, But when new ones may confront us, Notions that we’ve always kept Might no longer help define us. We might need a different view Of the things we can accomplish, Less than what we used to do. If we’re lucky, it’s a setback And we’ll find our former self, After treatment and some patience, Waiting calmly on the shelf.
