Like An Angel
I was down,
in a deep stumble.
I thought I'd never rise again.
I was alone
out in the darkness
where my dreams could hardly shine.
For youth had passed me by
and my last hope begins to die.
The wrinkles on my forehead begin to dry.
And the only friend that I had
left me without saying goodbye.
What I could only do is cry.
But like an angel
out from the shadows,
you came and gave me hope.
And even though
we're not together,
thought of you makes me alive.
You lifted me
from my deep stumble
and gave me wings to fly.
And though sometimes
I seem to fumble,
thought of you makes me alive.
