Lighthouse On the Sea

Be the lighthouse on the sea
Guiding lost souls to come to me
Ponder this through your heart and war
Should I come to knock on your door
I count the hours locked away
And to my hearts contempt I stay
A little line of mine to shine
My own burden to bear..it's mine
Suffering and pain will be your antidote
to the timeless of memories and the most remote
The lighthouse flashes and shines its light
to the edge of the water its beams stray bright
Beware of the chance when you walk in vain
And the souls of your feet, where the sand falls grain by grain
Potential is high when you reach for the bar
hit the ground running and shoot for the stars
Brave is the man who dares to dream high
For the insurmountable courage
of a goal that will never die
Peaks aren't reached by an ephemeral hike
A momentary doubt is a receding climb
Half-hearted attempts won't suffice
Look at the heart and look at the price
Even though you were used and were made a spawn
these words of mine will go on and on
And with my final breath I plea
To be the lighthouse on the sea
