Lighthouse
Surrounded by a treacherous body of water
Feeling each wave as they crash against it
The possibility of damage from such force
Yet standing strong it endures each hit
The dark night has a sense of erriness
But this structure stands strong and proud
Alone in such a mass of water
With waves that seem so loud
Out of the darkness there's a beam of light
A guide for those still out
Ensuring they make it back to safety
Giving hope and dispelling any doubt
So through its solidarity, for many it does provide
Bringing comfort while enduring each wave
People of the sea admire her strength
For all the lives that light beam can save.
