Light Up Your Soul With Joy

These times do frighten us, so what to do?
It's up you to be upbeat and to negatives, do eschew.

I have brought out my small, white Christmas tree and lit it.
I just stared and marveled at the tree, as I did with joy sit.

I keep it on both day and night now, it glimmers so poetic.
The white tree with mulit- colored lights~delightfully epic.

The magic of sans-news makes my peaceful day.
As the fears that news creates in me, were magically allayed.

I amusingly, fancied myself, a seer of sorts!
Till I heard Wisconsin suggested people put Christmas lights on their house!
(Ah, better than Packer sports.)

This is our time to appreciate and love one another.
Face to face contact, in real time, cannot by the Internet be smothered!

This, too, shall pass as it is written.
The Corona Virus hardly will do mankind in, though some will be smitten.

Remember the numbers never tell the co-morbidity rates.
Just follow directions, pray to God, that he provides you a good fate.

To those of us in isolation, this is no time to mope.
Rise up poet, think of others like you, and revel in hope!

With my love and support!

Hello Panagiota … if we use common sense, and don't panic or let our frustrations boil over, we should be fine us poets, allowing our minds to centre on writing our feelings and sharing them. This latest curse may take some time to be over so it's us writers time to shine - thank you Panagiota - Lindsay

Wow, Darlene. The Nutcracker...great. Many may think I am balmy! So what. Living in fear and doing body counts is not for me. I forgot the colorful lights in the kitchen. They are on, just beautiful. Like the title of that movie..,"It's a Wonderful Life." Rainbow wishes, Panagiota xx

Now this cheered me up! It's absolutely the time to rise up and show love for one another. I don't have one of those trees but I do have Christmas lights, I think I'll hang them up :) Very nice, Panagiota. Love & hugs Charlie

Hi Charles, I am not one who can eat Doom Cheerios for breakfast. LOL. I have no clue what inspired me to light the tree! I thank you so much for your letter of reaching out. Not being the bearer of bad tidings! My kitchen looks like an Italuan restaurant in Chicago. It has lights around a special cabinet. Just needs some Spumoni and O' Sole Mio! Please soup me anytime. Here 24/7. This invite is for other poets, also! Fragrant candles lift me up, too. Much love, Panagiotaxxx
