Spring

Light Greets Me

More light, more warmth, more hope, more joy.
It's worth losing sleep over.
     ~ unknown

Light greets me as I open my eyes
one day closer to equinox,
even the birds are singing differently ~
hope sits on my shoulder
as if it has always been there,
even through the darkest days of winter.
