Light Emitting Temple

I shiver in the mist created by the waves
Crashing on the rocks by the shore
The wind carries the water through the air
Into my pores,
        creating those goose pimples

The light shining brightly envelopes me
I stand there in awe of its glory
The lighthouse beams with pride its strength
In its story,
        lifting by the light simple

Even though storms come, raging in strong
Nothing seems to deter the lighthouse
It’s power still is within its light rotating
Just a douse,
        of dominance never crimpled

Though we come and go--all around the bay
It never deviates from its strong post
Lifesaving light, which moves each night
Like most,
        by this light emitting temple

The spiritual lighthouse that guides all souls to the shore of salvation will never stop emitting its light my dearest friend poet, Russel! A luminous imagery of glorious proportions ! Superbly written my friend!

the light emitting temple what a perfect title and a brilliant way to describe a light house. I recently went to a talk on lighthouses on the calf of man which is part of our Island - it's a fascinating subject:-) hugs Jan xx
