Light and Darkness

The beauty of darkness,
Wrought from light.
One without the other
Like stars and night.

An endless loop of dusk and dawn,
An slow swirl of cold and hot,
A quick swoop of wings from fur,
An old rhythm that lies unheard.

Written before a thousand years,
Drenched in a thousand tears,
Flows like a river beyond
Untold truths and mournful song.
