Light a Candle

Don’t fear the darkness, light a candle
We are made to shine a light.
Hold that candle where all can see it.
The smallest flame will hold back the night.

You have knowledge, now strive for wisdom
And all the graces you can receive.
Search for truth and always remember
We must live as we believe.

Find the courage to hold your head high.
Lift your voices, sing out your song.
And if you listen you know you’ll hear it.
Someone will join in and sing along.

On the journey the road’s uneven
But we’re not walking all on our own.
Just look around you, brothers and sisters,
Traveling companions. You’re not alone.
