Lifting Love

A poem for couples who are apart often.  8 Syllables.


Your deep love wraps around my heart
A blanket that comforts a start
To begin the day with a kiss
That lasts through each moment I miss
I wait to give you all I can
Through the hours, I wonder when
We will return to our embrace
And look into each other’s face
Irreplaceable times ignite
The flame that carries our own flight
I will always be here for you
To catch you from any fall too
When you may feel too weak to fly,
I’ll lift you with the reasons why
And in these times you are away
Carry these words I have to say…
My love is here for you each day
