Lifters of the Fallen

I heard the Lords’ concern today
over many who’ve walked away.
I watched a tall young preacher say
to pursue those who’ve gone astray.

I remember a phrase He said,
That we‘re “Lifters of the Fallen”,
we’d reach out as divinely led-
so that they would hear Him calling.

Many be that God wants to use,
yet they have long since turned aside.
Stubbornly they hold to their views,
refusing His call to abide.

Restless sheep for pastures beyond
those tended by the Shepherds’ care,
Their straying hearts for false gods long-
discontent is their lot to share.

For the fallen, those such as these,
it is that all we are yet come.
That we would yet see as He sees
recalling what He saved us from.

Indeed the pastor has the right idea. Praying Christians the first step. A group that prays for some specfic person or persons the Spirit will put them in a situation where they will be confronted with a choice. I like the way that you put these thoughts to pen. Keep writing. Sara
