Lift Up Your Eyes On High
Isaiah 40:26a
"Lift up your eyes on high
and see who has created the stars
The one who leads forth their host
by numbers He call them up by names."
Staring at the stars at night,
Awaiting my limelight,
I cannot be thrown into twilight.
With Him by my side as my guiding light,
Someday I'll be on the spotlight.
Be not ignorant of his devices
he is always on cue with his vices
Longing to plunge one into abyss.
Put on the armour of His virtues,
Molded with the fruits of the spirit
To overcome his vices.
In the face of his devices,
Lift up your eyes on high.
