Why do I keep walking on by?
Past everything that could define my soul.
It’s like life and I don’t see each other eye to eye.
Sometimes we feel like we just want to cry,
because it feels like our hearts fell in a hole.
Why do I keep walking on by?
You may feel like you need a guy,
but he will never be on your life’s payroll.
It’s like life and I don’t see each other eye to eye.
Why do we even try,
when breaking a heart seems to be the goal.
Why do I keep walking on by?
At some point in life we all want to die,
whether it’s real or fake it is part of the toll.
It’s like life and I don’t see each other eye to eye.
It may be time to say goodbye
Before I put someone else with me in the mixing bowl.
Why do I keep walking on by?
