Lifes Ups and Downs

What causes a man to continuously fail?
All that he thrives for is for nothing, and to no avail.
The harder he tries.
   Seems the less he realizes.
Where does it stop, tell me where does it end?
I ask you this, you once were a friend.
I’ve seen lives ripped apart by one small mistake.
By those who condemn the errors we make.
To say any one is perfect would be such a lie.
We’re all hiding from something, I didn’t mean to pry.
If you jump in the water, you’re bound to get wet.
And if you walk thru this world, some of it rubs off on you yet.
If you had a bucket full of stink, and you stirred it around.
If you passed it about, how many takers do you think would be found?
That’s kind of the way life is, you try to keep clean.
And journey thru life and don’t make a scene.
Be true to yourself and others will see.
And as the old saying says: The truth shall set you free.
