Life's Tour
To think that if my life hadn't taken a tour for a detour
To see all the things that would be for me in store
Just to know that once your changed many tend to see it
To wonder what brought you to this point to mean it
Gone are all the innocent ways and heartfelt helpful hands
All the joking and more to placing my tears in opened cans
Replaced by humbled blessings and memories of friends that ran
To think that if my life hadn't taken a tour for a detour
My ears wouldn't have heard the thunders roar
My eyes wouldn't have seen all the looks of deceit and smiles of betrayal
To know that my will was stronger while my body grew frail
Being taught that faith and patience will take you abroad
That every smiling face can sometimes be a fraud
Believing in the only name that could help being God
To think that if my life hadn't taken a tour for a detour
To see and learn that life is a surviving game of explore
To know that every fallen tear doesn't always bring sorrow and pain
That a humbled heart has been bled and leaves a redden stain
A watchful eye now realize to recognize the destructive lane switch life can course
With a steadied hand and guided plan you sway against the venom force
Now you realize you failed to recognize this dangerous chartered tour
