Life's Tides

Balmy sands of time
Buffered by briny bliss sublime
Cleansing tides filter malleable mind
Winds of change scour and grind
Revitalizing beams warm chafed strand
Enervating force; life's trials to withstand
Buffeting storms blow; the landscape rearranges
Eroding dreams; our outlook changes
Alternate channels evolve our hopes to renew
Rivulets sprout new paths to hew
Stagnant pools form; our resolve stagnates
Refreshing rains arrive; uncertainty abates
Silty streams flow back into the billowy sea
Purging life's dross; setting our soul free

Stephen, I really like the way you use the sea, channels and pools to describe the way we approach life. When one dream fails, we must find another. There is always uncertainty in life, but there are periods of renewal (like the refreshing rains) that help us set new goals. Keen insight! Love, Carolyn

Yes, we must embrace those alternate channels. This piece really did flow...fantastic work!
