Life's Test

Life's Test

It Simply Makes Me Shudder
When I Think of Your Tender Years
There Are So Many Things You'll Learn
And Some of it Causes Tears

I Wish I Had the Power
To Keep You from All the Pain
That Comes along in Life
But You Wouldn't Be the Same

Happy and Sad Together
Along with Joy and Pain
Shall Shape Who You Become
And It's You That Stands to Gain

You'll Gather Forces Around You
That Will Protect You in Life's Game
But Always Give it Your Best
And You'll Never Walk in Shame

I've Walked a Lot of Roads
And Some Were Hard at Best
But the Thing That I like Most
I'm sure You'll Pass Life's Test
