Life's Slippery Slopes

Life is a series of continuous slippery slopes,
that we hope to maneuver without losing all our hope;
And when we find we’ve reached the end of our ropes,
we need to count on each other to help us try to cope.

So if you start sliding down into emotional despair,
and it starts feeling like nobody else is there to care;
Know that you can call me and I’ll come from anywhere,
and both of us together, this problem can repair.

You’ve helped me climb a slippery slope or two;
Repaying this debt is the least that I can do.
You can count on me, like I always count on you;
And together, slippery slopes, we’ll pull each other through.

this is excellent poetry Joe, all about life, and yes you tell it here, how we need to count on, others to be there for one!

A wonderful write, Joe! You are right - there are times when we need a helping hand from a friend. We aren't supposed to be a lone ranger. Love, Kim
