Life's Ocean

Sometimes I feel like I'm in the ocean
    struggling to stay afloat
    Trying to stay optimistic
    patiently waiting for a boat.

There are times when the water is calm
and I think everything will be okay
Then a wave crashes down upon me
and my optimism is washed away.

I feel so tired and weak
treading these waters for so long
It's hard to keep on going
hard to be brave and strong.

The waves come one after another
it's so hard to hide my fears
All I can do is keep on swimming
and try to hold back my tears.

For out here in the ocean
    YOU REALLY ARE ALL ALONE
Everyone is busy rowing in their boats
they don't want to hear you moan and groan.

I've always been a fan of oceanic imagery. The expanse is very enticing and yet, foreboding. Nicely done.

A very nice effort, well worded, and appropriate and applicable comparisons...could use punctuation which seems to be missing in some lines...I liked this.
