Life's Looking Glass

Looking for the lines to read between
Watching as the lies fill the screen
Observing pictures so obscene
Static so loud it makes me want to scream
I am looking for my way
Searching through shadows
As night falls from the day
Wondering what it is I'm Suppose to say
Sifting through despair
Will I find my answers there?
Is there a channel I can change?
Or will the picture remain the same?
Is there something to be said
Of all these secrets locked inside my head
Peering out from behind the dark
Devil makes his mark
Static clings inside my brain
Twisting knobs driving me insane
Channels change
Yet the picture remains the same
The screen fills up turning black
Secret lies lay waiting to attack
I'm afraid it's too late to turn back

I like the essence of this poem. We have to play out the hand we received. The ending is excellent. Welcome to Poetry Soup and keep writing. Blessings, Joseph
