Life's Little Things

Stop and enjoy,
life’s little things.
Like lightning bugs,
and back porch swings.

A bright full moon,
a star-filled night.
A high bonfire,
with flames dancing bright.

The clean fresh air,
after a rain.
Each morning’s chance,
to start again.

The simple joy,
a hug can bring.
A kiss, a smile,
a song to sing.

A laugh, a tear,
a cookie shared.
A quick nap in,
a rocking chair.

The rustling sound,
of summer leaves.
As they dance upon,
a gentle breeze.

Rolling thunder,
o’er distant hills.
The smell of roses,
and daffodils.

Those vast farm fields,
so tall and green.
Making a wish upon,
the first star seen.

If your life seems,
it’s too fast paced.
Don’t think you have,
to win each race.

Just take your time,
enjoy the view.
Live each moment,
given to you.
