Lifes Like Cricket
Cricket is the name of the game of life
And we all have an innings to play.
You never can tell if you’re going to do well
When you open batting on your birthday.
Some days you’ll receive a few no balls
Which means you cannot be dismissed.
And when the wicket gives you some spin
Hit it for a six with a flick of the wrist.
There’ll be cloudy days when the ball swings
And you’ll have to duck and dive.
Don’t be a fool, be steadfast and cool
And more often than not, you’ll survive.
Be careful don’t go and get yourself caught out
Just concentrate on scoring runs and winning.
And if you do everything you’ve been taught
You’ll probably have a long and successful innings
