Life's Lessons

I hear the sounds of approaching thunder
My soul trembles from the fear I'm under
Flashing lights in angry skies
Reflecting as terror in my eyes

Will this tempest pass me by
And leave my fears where they lie
God has sent this trial to me
His life's lesson for me to see

Faith tested by God's plans
Given to a mere mortal man
To overcome fear, trouble and strife
And walk with God through this life
