Life's Full Circle

Why do most children when at a certain age,
Rebel against their parents as though they’re reading from a different page?

Like they don’t need anymore guidance, they can do just fine.
Till something new comes up then watch them whine.

And there are a lot of youngsters that do real well,
Those are usually the ones that paid attention, that’s why they prevail.

As a parent it’s hard to turn loose, cut those strings,
Cause we only want the best for our children, the best this life can possibly bring.

And we know most of the dangers that lie ahead,
That’s why we interfere, when we should be minding our business instead.

And no matter how old a child gets, to us they’re still our child.
And one day that child will have these same feelings and dealings that’s what’s wild.

And he or she will look back and say, I’ve become my mom or dad,
Then they’ll realize we weren’t really so bad.
