Lifelong chess game

16 July 2024 6:57 AM

Morning contemplations a life long game of chess
Planning my every move and weighing consequence

Choices made and more to come
Second by second sun to sun

I hear time ticking in the back of my mind
Tick tick tock tock an irregular rhythm sublime

Time is not steady as one may think
It speeds up and slows down many times in a blink

So I must plan carefully every single move
Every thoughts solution I must consider and prove

So many variables in this complex equation
So many to many for every occassion

I add multiply divide and subtract
Every detail rumor and fact

Every tid bit of knowledge and information
To form my own opinion my own soveriegn nation

Existing only in my mind
King of nothing but wasting time

I think there for I am
Such is the life of man
