Life Within
The life within me
reflects one so strong
while never revealing what dwells within
Never allowing any to dig
to learn of what dwells inside
nor learn of the tears cried
The life that dwells below the surface
is fragile
and torn so many times
Trying to understand the future
while being haunted by the past
walking through a maze with eyes closed
The path taken is dark
never understanding its course
or the reason for the journey
hoping to understand
when there is no reason
