Life Through a Soldiers Eyes

Life through a Soldiers Eyes

Trust Given
Country Served
Not allowed
To whisper a word
Ethics and code
To each they are owed
Honour Bound
Duty Found
Bonds made
Friends fade
Time served
Anyone heard
Left Alone
Outcast from home
Too much grief
Wrapped up neat
Old war wounds
Civi Lifes cocooned
Postings no more
What to live for
Nowhere to go
The Ynco
All cease to exist
In wars in mist
The brave souls
Climbed in holes
Honour Bound
Duty Found
We owe so much
Keep in Touch
Hard to see
PTSD

Powerful stuff Gail. How quickly we forget those of whom we ask so much, and to whom we give so little.
