Life Prayer
Its never too easy,
to take control of life,
and steer it vividly,
away from the obstacles that seek to drive,
you off the rail,
to fall short and in pain,
with no more strength to carry on another day.
We steer too fast,
and our lives are bound,
to get out of control,
and we lose it all by a single breath.
We steer too slow,
and our hearts are bound,
to yearn for more,
lest we miss out on our goal.
We steer perfect,
and our patience will guide,
us through to a perfect life,
the purpose of mankind.
And so I pray,
that God's will be shown each day,
for my eyes to open,
and my heart to steer my life out in the open,
For my hands to hold still,
and fill with grip,
to hold steady the wheel.
I pray that the road be smooth,
for He creates the perfect path,
perfect for the purpose I serve,
till I reach the destination I yearn,
for it's Him that knows better.
Amen.
