Life Over Death

You've put your hope down a dead end track
Crossed the line/ ain't no turnin' back
You wanna wish everything away

Joy has turned to a blistering pain
Forced regret of who's to blame
You live in a state of shame

Chorus:
If only you knew/ maybe you'd choose
Life over death
Accepting a lifestyle/is it worthwhile?
To kill what you had?

A lie you've made to better suit yourself
Bridges burned/ no one left to help
Everything is crashing right before your eyes

Losing faith in everything that's right
Light is overshadowed by the bitter night
Nothing left/ you've run out of time

Repeat ChorusX1

Bridge: Maybe one day you'll see
before it's too late
Life's too short
to make foolish mistakes
Let go of the ties that hold you down
You can turn it all around/ You can turn everything around

Guitar solo:)
Repeat Chorus

I hope to see this one one the top 100 List someday. this was a great piece, i wrote a song a few years ago, or the poem, and this lady at Church put the music to it, but never got a chance to sing it at church. Have you put this to music yet? thank you for commenting on Lonely Cherry Tree.
