Life Mattered
Every day and everything,
a constant struggle.
More than a few missing
pieces to the puzzle.
A whole lot of baggage,
so much fear.
I fell apart when you
left me here.
Face to face,
I was staring.
At a heart no
longer caring.
It seems every day
it gets a little worse.
I wish I could have
forgotten you first.
I need to get rid
Of this strife.
You changed the way
I live my life.
The day comes and
You look back.
Trying to make-up
For all, you lack.
I saw hatred when
She stared at me.
I was speechless,
I found it hard to breathe.
The blow that love
Delivered.
In fetal position,
I lay there and shivered.
It's been two years,
She is really gone.
Took a chance on love,
I found out it was wrong.
I remember when;
Life mattered.
Nothing left of me,
I'm broken and shattered.
