The morn sun sings
a joyful song
for the children of Earth to enjoy.

The sleek fingers
of enlightment
paint a thousand smiles on a road
that was embedded in our palms.

My thoughts still hold
to those nights, when I chain-smoked the stars
that promised me to find my old sway
against a virulent wind of solitude.

Ah, the morn sun
sing a joyful song and when it does not
gray is the color of night.
