Life Lessons
Life Lessons
Fate has many roads
It's funny how they intersect
You might know where you're going
But can't know who you'll meet
You can't see all life is showing
While only walking down one street
Don't lose your shoes, you'll need em
You blues, the news will feed em
So walk your talk and lead em
Before there's no more freedom
Some roads run into an ocean
Sometimes you have to swim
If you're lucky, you can sail
But watch for clouds to form
Even hull and mast can fail
If you're not prepared for the storm
You test the waters, and the waters test you
Seas beg for flying stones sometimes
At times, it's tempting to oblige
But the waters move aside for violence
The waves walk away where sinking stones land
To stare at the surface in stationary silence
At the tides' reasoning, and your bloody hand
