Life Journey
Life is but a journey far
A bumpy road, many doors ajar
Twisting turns, ups and downs
We run around like frantic clowns
Love it or hate it, pass each day
Speeding thoughts that come our way
Working hard, treading water
For us a son or a daughter
Where’s the purpose, be it told
Should we ask and be so bold
Turning left, turning right
Many spend a sleepless night
Seeking thrills, making a penny
Never enough to satisfy many
More and more, material goods
Do we ever get out of the woods
Some in debt, desires are full
Expectations that over rule
Will it stop, is there more
Should we ever close that door
Is it need or is it want
Travelling life, minds to haunt
Free the spirit and let it fly
More in life than a material high.
