Life Is What You Make It

When you find yourself with more time than things to do
Think back on all the times the reverse was true.
When you feel alone in the midst of a noisy crowd
Remember there's a bright blue sky behind the clouds

When you feel that you just cannot get out of bed
And your mind is filled with anxiety and dread.
Think hard on why your life has become so shattered
You may find that the underlying cause never really mattered.

When you feel as if you simply don't belong
And the walls that defined your space are long since gone
Dispel all thoughts of a life that was ill conceived
And concentrate on all the things you have achieved.

Remember your life is out there for the taking
And yes sometimes that appears to be a daunting undertaking
I have found it best to take one day at a time
And always seek the path of the light sublime.

Thank you. We are not aware of these things until we are immersed in them. Thank God for the pen!
