Life Is Too Short

Life is too short
to sail away
to empty shores
and silent spaces.
And easy winds
bring memories so clear.
Don't look into
too many angry faces
and of fear.
Too many hours lost
in vain and unsuccessful races.
And pictures from the past
come to your mind
of people you once met
and sheer forgotten places.

Good philosophy here, Gert!! I have to stop watching the news every once in awhile just to regroup with pleasant thoughts ... LOL ... and then get back to reading wonderful, uplifting writes here at the Soup!!
