Life Is Like a Loaf of Bread

These are the building blocks of bread
Flour, salt, yeast, and water warm
You must wait for the dough to rise
You knead, then mold to proper form.

It bakes and comes from the oven
In many colors, shapes, and sizes
Pride of knowing that you made it
It is a process that gratifies.

As life progresses thru the years
As you grow from child to adult
You will encounter many paths
As you build the final result.

For life is like a loaf of bread
In many colors, shapes, and sizes
You build it as your soul expands
A process full of compromises.
