Life Is Fleeting
Mournful cries still linger in the air
Cruelties of life are so unfair
Paramedics were unable to revive
Gone before help could arrive
Here one moment and gone the next
Why did this happen feeling perplexed
Sitting in shock while others try to console
Heart is frozen with a tremendous hole
Whole world crashing out of control
Unbelievable pain searing my soul
Reaching for you in a final embrace
Feel my love as I caress your face
A heart attack claimed you without warning
Should be celebrating Xmas, not mourning
More then a brother, also my best friend
Please watch over me until we meet again
*Written for my neighbor who loss her brother.
