Life Is a Beach
Life is a beach and in this ocean I'm drowning,
My breath draws water and my heart is pounding.
I'd ask for help, but swimming isn't hard,
So in this ocean, I stay barred
From every blessing I've received.
Self-sabotage is the only thing I've achieved.
I look at the light, it's now a world between us,
As I plunge to the depths of this ocean of sickness.
My last thoughts are not of my success,
but of that beach I left with that undying yes.
As the life fades away, the ocean still sways,
My body now depressed, drifting with the waves.
Life moves on as this body washes ashore,
To see that beach that I knew once more.
