Life Inches Along

Bombarded with news on gender and race
Life inches along at a furious pace
We weep and we cry as our children die
Taxes go up and politicians lie...

Technology booms and promises much
Yet folks are unhappy and out of touch
The future seems bleak -- the same, only more
~ I've got a novel idea: Let's end all war

I'll stand right beside you to add my concurrence. What a great poem, so small with gigantic, powerful truths. You go, Gershon - let's get that peace on! Enjoyed the read mucho much. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

G'day Gershon … it's a sad reflection when the answer stares humanity in the face but the heads just turn away - thank you Gershon - Lindsay

From idea to reality is a long, hard road, of course. Without envisioning it, though, it can never happen. Not a good idea to give up hope, as that = a slow death. Thanks for commenting, Ilene. :) gw

I don't believe God makes mistakes or judges us, I believe we do that. We have the innate power over our lives and will learn from experience. This plea for a peaceful world resonates with my ideals Gershon. Beautiful! : ) xxoo
