Life Bown Champs

Sitting here watching the game
You suddenly realize it’s just that—
A game going from goal to goal;
Win or lose, you get to go again.

However, the awareness is this;
Life is a reality taking you from one
Goal to another; but lose or win
You never get to play again.

Now this may seem like wordplay to you
But when you hike, run, and throw reality
It becomes one hell of a play for you and me
And that there are no time-outs in what is true.

         				 Thus, when we
          				  Huddle and break
         				  It has to be about
          				  The touchdown
           For in reality and
           For the team’s sake:
           We’re not guaranteed
           To be around:-

So we can’t afford any more false starts and yellow flags
And every move must now advance without any snags;
Our defensive ancestors must not have fought in vain,
So let us go out knowing we contributed to winning gains.
