Life Becomes Part

A porcelain puppet that is hanging from a rope
Listens carefully gets his instructions from the pope
You can't wash the blood off with just a little soap
Visions of crashing are mirrored with hope.

The past right behind me envelopes without a sound
What good are the words if no one is around
When you go to dig it up is buried treasure to be found
The great sadness arises though it doesn't make a sound.

An invisible mime trapped in an invisible box
Searching for something that's never been lost
Looking around yet it is right before your face
You're moving too fast you better change the pace.

All of a sudden you're in a different space
Sometimes I wonder if I'm in the same race
A wooden Jesus on a stainless steel cross
Receiving redemption for the innocence lost.

Hanging, the pain is revealed to all
Sorrow remains, the decent becomes the fall
The future and the past seem to merge into one
As a dark cloud approaches it blocks out the sun.

Shadows creep in and darken my soul
What looked like a tunnel was just a hole
I’m wounded yet strong enough to go on
Waiting yet maybe I've waited too long?

I am listening but all I hear is fear
The shadows get stronger as the end grows near
Sorrow starts to grow as I shed a tear
Life becomes a part of what you hear.
