Life
In the expanse of purposeless existence,
We drift, untethered, searching for guidance.
Hope, a distant memory, elusive, unattainable,
No laughter escapes our lips on this path.
Days and nights merge, a stifling haze,
Smothering our spirits, blurring meaning.
Like fragile smoke, meaning slips away,
Leaving us grasping at intangible wisps.
Yearning for significance, a flicker of light,
Darkness envelops, veiling our sight.
No stars guide our course, no compass true,
Lost in disarray, stumbling through the dark.
Chaos spins the world, senseless display,
We, mere spectators in this grand theater.
Life’s cycles reveal us as mere pawns,
Struggling against rules beyond our grasp.
We build castles of sand, futile endeavors,
Eroded by time, burdened by life’s weight.
In desolation, hope withers, unable to bloom,
Trapped in perpetual gloom, suffocating.
Meanings elude us, dreams fade away,
An empty canvas devoid of vibrancy.
Drifting through days with hollowed hearts,
No expectations, no dreams to impart.
Life, an enigma, answers undisclosed,
Journey through darkness, stripped of pretense.
Despair’s realm, no sanctuary for hope,
Accepting our fate, illusions cast aside.
Life’s road, treacherous and winding,
Mocks us with its cruel jest, cosmic charade.
Players in a parade devoid of purpose,
Marching onward, seeking meaning’s sliver.
