Lies

I thought I needed your love
I saw the way you needed me
I thought I could rise above
But your lies, I could never see

Blinded by lust
But you were just another
Deceitful heart
I should never trust
You will always be a product
Of your mistakes
You dragged me through the ********
But your lies
Makes you nothing more
than a fake

I give and give my love away
But I forget to love myself
They take and take my heart away
With no regards of how I've felt

Why is it that I push my friends away
For any girl that'll give me their time of day
My selfishness leaves everyone in pain
Just because my flesh craves for her scandalous frame

God, will I ever be content with myself
Or will I continue to dig my way to hell
Will I throw my life away for a kiss
Or will I chose to live in true love's bliss

I thought I needed your love
I saw the way you needed me
I thought I could rise above
But your lies, I could never see
