Lies

False words whisper into human ears, twisting thoughts into living lies. Truth is swallowed up by perceptions spun by the gossiping crowd of flies. Shallow lips value these words of fiction, teaching fairy tales to all who will hear. These spiked sounds invade the brain, trading friends for a man made fear. A tongue spits poison into the air, when lies escape through the mouth's cave. The fragile heart cracks and bleeds with every slam of rumor's wave. These lies pollute the minds of others, turning truth into a pile of ash. Some voices swim in gossip's pool, drowning lives in deceit's trash.
